Honey and meditation. Transcendence and rhythm. Greentea Peng’s raspy vocals and psychedelic R&B vibes are all we need. The South East London singer grew up on Lauryn Hill, the Fugees and reggae and calls her music “a London sound, but… also quite stoner and distorted.”
In June of 2019, Greentea Peng performed her single “Downers” on Colors, a platform that showcases talent from around the globe, which garnered close to four million views. The way in which she effortlessly projects and emotes is particularly authentic and quite beautiful.
She then released her EP RISING. Songs like “Sane,” and “Mr. Sun (miss da sun)” continue to take listeners on a path of self-discovery and movement, space and time.
